Kaylene Powell works as a secretary and writes fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. She lives near Omaha, Nebraska.

Kaylene strives to write things that will help her readers think about a different perspective and feel another person’s life experience. For, to paraphrase Atticus Finch, it’s a good thing to try and embrace another’s experience so that we might be more understanding and grace-filled people. She values writing that is both sound and pure, writing that refines the reader’s heart and mind.

When she is not working or writing, Kaylene enjoys taking long walks, reading, painting, volunteering, and spending time with her beloved husband, Paul, and their adorable puppy, Star.
